Do I need a referral from my GP before you can see me?
No, you can refer yourself. Most people simply call or send an enquiry and we book them in. If you are claiming through insurance or a solicitor, they may want a referral letter, but for private community visits it is not needed.
Do you come to my home, or do I have to travel to a clinic?
We work in the community, so we come to you at home, in a care home, or another agreed setting. Travel within our usual areas is included. If you live further out, we will confirm whether we can reach you before booking.
How long is each physiotherapy session, and how many will I need?
Most visits last around forty-five minutes to an hour. The number of sessions depends on your condition and goals, so we review progress as we go rather than committing you to a fixed block up front.
Can you help someone with dementia or a learning disability?
Yes. We are used to working with people who need extra time, clear instructions, or a familiar face present. A family member or carer is welcome to sit in and join the exercises.
What should I have ready for the first appointment?
Have a list of your medicines, any hospital or GP letters, and a clear space to move in. Wear loose clothing and have a chair nearby. If you use a walking aid, keep it within reach so we can check it.
What happens if I need to cancel or rearrange a visit?
Just let us know as early as you can, ideally at least twenty-four hours ahead, and we will find another slot. Late cancellations may be charged, so tell us quickly if something changes.
